THE ODD BIRDS AI PROJECT

Exploring back to basic methods for unique AI-driven consistent animation.

Information

This site showcases the process of creating the Odd Birds AI model, trained on my own work, and how I use this model as a foundation to explore new methods for various outputs and to create unique Gen AI animation with old school techniques.

I'm prioritizing ethics, uniqueness, and craftsmanship. By working with the app Krita AI and ComfyUI and using my model as a base, I aim to inspire and discover new ways to create art and animations, blending the latest AI tools with classic frame-by-frame animation techniques.

The PROCESS (so  far)

  1. Creating the AI Model: Trained on my work and used as the foundation for all experiments.
  2. Texturing drawings based on the model with Live AI Painting in Krita.
  3. Texturing animations - The AI Clay texture workflow.
  4. Frame-by-Frame AI Animation of Growing Flowers.
  5. Walk Cycles: Ensuring Consistency in AI Character Animation.
  6. The Erase AI Workflow - A simple method for creating organic animations with Krita AI Diffusion.
  7. Animated shorts - The Odd Bird Kingdom. Going all in on consistent AI animation and stop-motion aesthetics for these animation tests. Combining all my previous workflows.

Next Steps: Experimenting with the Model

I am eager to finetune and delve further into new methods of working with style and animation in Krita AI.
